Introductions:
Name: Orlol Netit
Age: 25.3
Background: I am a character. I have an uncertain demeanor, and am willing to do most-anything for some cash. Of course, not going into the deeper depths of sleaze one may think of at first. I have prior skill in simple engineering (okay, I used to tinker with some old computers when I was a kid. So what?) and at least a B-Class license in Battletech Operations. I know how to pilot some serious machinery. I used to service some heavy machinery to make sure they're loaded and operational. Service at Bay-12 Operations was nice. Good people, fun opportunities, overall nice atmosphere. Of course, despite my "lack of experience" in battle, we were surprise attacked and I had to jump into a rather weak mech (last I recall, it was an Uller, Standard-A setup) to defend our post. Despite losing an arm, and having much of my body in the yellow, I held my position and vaporized a good handful of mechs before those Grey Death shmucks decided to rabbit out. I think my reputation of effectively and efficiently handling a mech against a squad with a comparatively weak mech with minimal comparative damage against some medium-size guys was what caught the attention of the Wolf's Dragoons. I was considered rather formidable for dealing with such heavy force with something that has a hard time holding it's ground alone.
Log:
I believe after my orientation into the league "Warhammer" saw my records and was surprised at how quickly it has appeared to be noticeable. Considering familiarity, due reputation, I have been assigned an Uller. I suppose it's time to go through the proving grounds, or what these guys are more familiar calling it, a mission. This will be fun.
Although I had no choice but to take the mech I was working on, which was a standard configuration, and I was a mere workman, my goodness, I thought what went on was a drill. I didn't expect things over at Bay-12 to be the genuine thing. "We were under attack?" had run through my head after the fact the entire time. Considering I got talent, I've been working on increasing my license rating so I am permitted to ride the higher-class models. I have my eyes on what I believe is called the "Warhawk" chassis. That thing is pretty. Sure, it's a bit of a warthog, and not pretty compared to your standard humanoid-type chassis, but man could it handle some heavy crap.
I decided if I'm going on my first mission to prove my worth, I'm getting myself a flame paint-job to at least gloss over the magenta or pink or whatever girly color our mechs have. I mean, what the hell? I'll pay for the job myself if I must, it's what? A handful of C-bills? At least I have enough cash to do that much. I'll earn the rest.
I hope nobody minds seeing my poster in the bunk. Here, I'll upload a picture of it as well.
