Melt those bugs with acid, absorb their dna, combine them with the snork and order them to bring us food.

And keep the Capital PERSONAL PRONOUNS. That`s funny.

To what end? What do expect to get out of doing this, pray tell?
And have personal pronouns be done Like So. It keeps the emphasis without looking overly stupid.

The Triffid will be Our Hive, it needs neither chitin nor legs. Hives should be large, vulnerable, and immobile organisms. We must obey the laws of narrative causality!

I'd rather have a cheap swarm of insects then larger, more expensive creatures that clearly don't belong.

The Dominatrix disagrees with you, we can be a walking mountain spewing forth hordes of critters while eating away the groud beneath us

OOC: as you can't decide wheter to use PERSONAL PRONOUNS, i leave it out for readers sake, until you decide otherwise...

Day 1 Nightfall
Your mind fragments clearly decide that you should change the composition of your acid. Nearly instantly you can feel and hear the dying of hundreds of beetles which wanted to feast on the snork carcass. You study the DNA of the scarab-like Beetles and realize the possiblities of the DNA. You could grow a strong chitinous carapace around your body to prevent further attacks from insects. Additionally you could use the insect DNA to produce small gathering organisms who would bring you the biomass of the surrounding plant Lifeforms. You also cross the Triffid DNA with the Insect DNA and realize that with those two merged you could breed small hunting and defense organisms. Your actions take you the whole night and a big part of the next day but the changes are very beneficial to the Hive...

Day 2 Nightfall
After you have produced some of the smaller gathering organisms, you notice that they are seen by the scarab-insects as equals and therefore ignored. Furthermore the surrounding Fauna and Flora didn't seem to notice the changes, still the scarabs run to their sure death and still snorks are getting eaten by you.

gained scarab-like Insect DNA
gained new Creations
gained new Hive Mind upgrades

I`d say we should evolve Photosynthetic leaves and a chitin carapace. It will be beneficial to us in the long run.

Good idea, but we don't have the biomass for both right now. I say we evolve the leaves. More biomass per day is good, no?

I'd rather go with 50 protosoldiers and 200 protogatherers, so we can quickly consume all of the local biomass.

It would still leave the hive vulnerable. Why not vegetate in the environment first? We've got time enough, and the stronger and faster growing the hive, the better.
