I'll whittle myself some wooden trinkets for trading while riding next to the caravan.

One option for people that simply aren't responding is that you just sideline them indeterminately. You just put them on a wait list and say their character is off doing something. If they never come back... no biggie but it makes way for more active players. Personally I'm more inclined to give them a few days or turns and then kill them off, but that's just me.  ;)

I'd say I've waited long enough sorry Batista

Turn 10: Arival

I keep watch for treasure.

5) keeping watch for enemies, you think you spot something at the top of a tree. telling everyone not to wait up for you, you ride over to it, seeing that there is indead something sparkley at the top of the tree, made much more prominent by the darkening sky. you aren't sure what to do for a moment until you decide you can do one of three things 1) you could hit the tree with a hammer 2) you could roll into it 3) you could climb it... you decide to hit it with a hammer. 2) swinging as hard as you can, you hit the tree with your hammer, making tree branches fall and nearly hit you. a piece of hear falls from the tree and lands on the ground. picking it up, you hear Danananaaaa!!! you quickly get on your horse and rejoin the caravan.

+2 strength
+1 piece of heart. 1/4 heart pieces
+2 horse riding

I'll whittle myself some wooden trinkets for trading while riding next to the caravan.

3) grabbing a stick off of a tree that you pass, you begin whittleing it into something. as time passes, it begins to take shape 6) becomeing a masterfully made boomerang with carvings of the history of hyrule. you even know basically how to use it.

+6 woodworking
+2 horse riding
Inventory: boomerang
Amateur boomerang thrower acheived
Amateur woodworker achieved

I practice jumping with the feather.

6) You Jump suddenly from your horse and go flying, well above the line of trees. you land right back in your saddle. huh? that was fun.

+5 agility
+2 horse riding

chase after that @$#@#ER!

3) seeing a sprinter in the distance, you kick your horse into gear and go after it. sprinters are tiny monsters that run and leave small exploding eggs in their wake. once you get close enough to the sprinter, you decide to run it over with your horse. 1) missing completely and falling on your butt.

+4 horse riding
+1 swordsmanship

pull trees after me with clawshots yes i know this cannot go right

5) for some reason not many can fathom, you shoot your claw at a tree that passes by 6) hitting it right on. you tug at it hard and nearly come off then saddle but you manage to pull many a tree after you as you travel across the plains of hyrule field with no real destination in mind..

+3 hookshooting
+5 strength
+3 horse riding

Batista: "I will pick up that red rupee" 2) as you are about to pcik it up you notice something strange about it. 5) POOSH!!! a Like Like, a yellow cylindrical monster that can swallow a human and eat shields, blasts out of the ground, trying to suck you in. 5) you grip the grass and resist it's sucking power... for now... the red rupee hangs from an appendage that sticks up out of the ground. you look around and see skulls everywhere. *GULP*

+1 strength

You do the turn, though many are unimpressed.

Environment: the caravan finally arrives in Ordon village just as the moon rises. the villagers greet them with respect and the caravan leader give each of the three escorts left 200 rupees. Ordon village consists of a couple houses around a stream that leads to a lake. a shop is closed for now but will open in five turns when the sun comes up. you each have a room at the Ordon Inn for free tonight.

Go in the houses and open any treasure chests I find.

That's how the game works, at any rate.

I have absolutely no idea what's going on in this fort any more. Migrants arrive, they die for some reason, the fort is flooded for another reason, then dwarves go mad, more dwarves die and I'm just laughing in my distress.

*Goes bow and arrow fishing while waiting for the shops to open*

(And yes, there are actually ways to do that since once the fish is dead it rises to the surface. A small line is frequently tied to the arrow in order to pull both it and the fish back to shore.)
