Am I supposed to be able to mine slade?  I can't seem to mine it horizontally, but I can mine into it from below if it's a hidden tile it seems.

Nope, you can't mine slade. You can, however channel it, but that's a bug.

Well, I just mined some slade.  I got a pile of slade out of it.  I can take a screen shot if you want.  I dug up from under it while it was a black tile.  And wow.  You're right.  You CAN channel it!  Jeeze.  What a crazy bug (if it is indeed one, which I think it is).  I can't seem to deconstruct the mysterious slade building's tiles under my fort, though.
