10fps internally != lag

Your framerate is much higher, but internally it does not need to be much greater then 10fps for most purposes

The servers most certainly do lag. You click something, then wait several seconds for feedback. That's not framerate, that's lag.

Yeah, the servers depend mostly on the host's computer, I think. I tend to lag a good bit in some people's rooms, despite having a decent connection and more than enough processing power for the game. I'm not entirely sure what causes the apparent greater lag sensitivity. If you're on a non-laggy server, it should be pretty responsive as far as clicking and moving goes.

When hosting locally, both SS13 and Mitadake high are not laggy.

Hence it is not a framerate issue but a network latency and/or bandwidth issue

(Ignore the following, server issues abound.)

Private server up for the day. More of a test than anything.

To get to the server, open your BYOND pager (the blue gig on the toolbar), go to File>Open Location and enter the address.

Current address is: byond://72.224.162.224:5877

It would be nice, I'd happily host but my internet connection is impossibly slow. Too bad other Bay12 BYONDers are busy with Dwarfed/SS13
