Well, sadly, he didn't survive the goblin siege.

I reloaded from a past save, and he appears to come about two screens away from the entrance of the fortress, and just waits.  He's a nervous, feathered lizard and all of his clothes are covered in demon goo after about 10 goblins mob him.

well, he turned out to be great fun.  I loaded a past save again and escorted him to the fortress, where he proceeded to topple any building he came across.  He attacked no one.  Then he walked in circles.

I am trying to get him in a cage.

That's the problem with friendly building destroyers.

I think someone put the tag on dwarves once in an older version and they couldn't get any work done.

Well, I reloaded again and he settled near an outside work shop, where I nervously watched him for a while.  He decided to remain still.  Until...

THE DRAGON ARRIVED

Man, having never encountered demons before, and the fact he was in a sort of meditative trance for a few dwarf months, I forgot about him.

By the time I  had 30 military dwarfs out to confront the dragon, the dragon was already vomitting and unconcious as a result of the demon attacking it.  Right in the middle of my outside work shop there was dragon vomit and demon goo and no other real damage.  The demon didn't have any damage aside from a yellow arm, and then he healed and continued to sit.  His garments ended up adorned with dragon blood, but even that washed away after a few rains.  It is like the dragon never even arrived.

Sadly I have such a large farm that most of my butchering ends up with rotted food, so the dragon meats all rotted.  I did get a nice skull on a stick out of it, though.

This demon also recently took out a titan.  However, the last goblin siege resulted in way too many goblins (again, he got killed) and numerous trolls (gem cutter trolls, brewer trolls, siege engineer trolls.. I guess they intended to move in!), and a funny thing is that the trolls were wearing troll leather clothing.

I can see why the demon was so bad, though--he weighed over 15,000 pounds according to his corpse weight!
