Can weather effects actually harm dwarves?

For instance, if my dwarves happened to fight outside and a snowstorm swept in, would they receive cold damage?

Due to problems with temperature and contaminants in the current version, if your dwarves happen to fight outside and a rainstorm sweeps in, they'll receive melt damage.

regardless, the slime shooter will be completed, come hell or high water, which are both entirely plausible setbacks at this point.

Cold weather seems fine, but rain in warm climates is prone to being fatal.

Snow won't harm them though.

Yes. Clearly a bug that ought to be fixed in the future, but exploit it in the meantime.
