So, who would control the nightgaunts still on Aether? Me or Forsaken?
You can, if you like. If you want me to, just roleplay asking them or I can roleplay them coming to tell you about the reaver when/if it does something.

I don't mind you taking control of them though.

Eh, you've got a better mindset for controlling such creatures than I do, I think. Would you control them?

Certainly. When the reaver makes itself known I'll react as appropriate.

Somehow the eye of terror reminds me of Wwarhammer 40k...

and the Eye of Sauron...

It is sort of a cross between the two.

In 40k there is a place called the eye of terror. It is a massive warp storm around a rip in the fabric of reality, caused by the birth of one of the chaos gods. I liked the name.

So I took the name and found a cool picture and gave it some of the flavor of Sauron's eye and a lot of my own creative twist.

I wasn't inspired by anything. Sure makes clear why my characters are so bland. :P

You're getting heavy on me. O.O

By the way.. Did you ever state that the Eye of Terror could move like that?

Your characters aren't bland! They are some of the best in this game!

Also, who's gonna roleplay the shifters? Both Natus and Xarn have some control over them.

Well, it's an interaction directed mainly at Xarn, so I think I'll do it.

Just give me some time, though. I'm a bit busy, currently, and I'll wait until Dragnar/Astra'ath finished their conversation (so that I won't interrupt right in the middle, I'll have to write a lengthy post.)

They're not really, bland, but I always feel there's something missing.
I do get the feeling that I am getting better at giving characters an actual personality. It's always been my worst skill at writing.

The biggest flaw i experience when telling stories is actually to act like the character would do.. Sometimes it`s hard to put your own opinions aside.

Woo, Outside!

Also, I think you're developing a better style of personality writing as you go along.  It can be a pain writing personalities, I should know.  One trick is managing to keep focused on a particular character's worldview and goals while writing them.  As Inquisitor points out, divorcing your own worldview can be the hardest part of this.

Agreed to the fullest.
My biggest problem, though, is to actually make their personalities realistic.
