Yeah, as terrible as Astra'ath is, the nightgaunts aren't all that bad really. They have a job which makes most people hate or fear them, but as people they're quite pleasant.

Kind of like tax collectors.

Yes, a lot like that.

They have also twisted the job Astra'ath gave them into an ethical work, punishing particularly evil mortals with terrible nightmares. Astra'ath doesn't mind because evil mortals give up more power when they are tormented, they have more dark thoughts to rip from their minds.

Mehhh taxes. That's so not cool. Justice is okay, though.
Also, I have no idea how to reply . =|

To the offer? Just say something, anything at all. I'll make it happen.

Want a mountain made of cheese? Some lovely Savannah creatures for your world? A nifty moon of diamond and topaz? Unspeakable horrors in the deep?

Hey, forsaken, will you write up something about the scholars? I'd love to see how two eldritch beings of awesome power (albeit the Scholars are teeny compared to Asty there) would interact.

Go ahead and write for them. I'm not so good with the whole Eldritch Being thing.

Alright.

The Scholars may seem amiable, but that's only when they don't need to fight. They've a history of bloody inter-family wars over hidden knowledge. That's the reason for their answering The Voidwalker's call; It will give them a shred of knowledge so powerful, it can break even a hardy Scholar's mind if spoken aloud.

Cool. But I'm about to crush its mind and consume its identity. I figure a single scholar can't really resist the psychic might of a god like mine, and Astra'ath needs a 'trusted' spy in your court.

No worries there, I don't harm those who are neutral to me.
