Fortis, how do those gates work? Insta-teleport to a specific portal or a tunnel network so you can come out from any of the gates?

I'm writing up something to replace it. I'll make the gates later. I just didn't want anyone writing up a post based on it. Besides, I noticed that storm of crystal shards Astra'whatever made. I think I'll use the act to block that, and make the gates next turn.

Astra'ath didn't make the shard storm. I just described what happened when someone else made a crystal shell composed of discarded flesh from a god covering something the size of a small moon explode violently.

We shall counter this with protective amulets/crystals/stones/magic. Would give bad guys a chance to trap someone in there by taking away their crystal.

EDIT: Dragnar raises good points there, but he should also remember Astra'ath hit us with waves of pain and images of all sorts of nasty things earlier. If he wanted to be friends with us, that might've not been the best conversation opener.

I actually started typing that before your post went up. I just got home and saw Dragnar's post.

And yes, he's tempting Dragnar with the one thing Dragnar wants... knowledge.

And he might actually accept. But remember, my character is a god of thought, not simply knowledge. He will never make a commitment without full information of it's consequences, and time to contemplate the decision.
