Okay, I think he'll need to become more... assertive.

Somehow.

Maybe Astra'ath taunting him or something. halp?
Thats not really how Astra'ath works.

I adhere to a very simple principle, maximum gain from minimal investment.

Like subverting a scholar to spread dissent through your ranks and steal your secrets.

Dammit, here I was going to open up channels of communication and now y'all wanna fight.

Well, you could always make negotiations break down, Forsaken. Let's do this!
Communicate if you want. If you have something worthwhile to say, Astra'ath will be interested.

Hmm, would you mind if I make the Scholar infect some others, and this irks TGC. As a result, he can't kill the heretic because he's just got them on loan...

Or maybe he should just have a memory montage and grow some (metaphorical) balls.

You can do whatever you like with him. His ultimate goal is to steal secrets from TCG but whatever happens is up to you, I just did it to open up more RP.

Blargityblarg: This is Galt addressing me correct? Asking me to find a home for a planet-sized ball of insects?

Generally speaking, if it doesn't sound like I spent an act on something its just for roleplay purposes. I don't think the scholar will bring back any earth shattering news or suddenly overthrow a fellow god.

Its just all in good fun.

This is Galt asking you to supplement your homegrown Horrors in the Deep with his unwanted bugs.

Okay. Astra'ath isn't familiar with the bugs since they don't dream and Its gaunts don't pay much attention to them. Explain the situation IC and I'll react as appropriate.

Wait, so the whole planet is made of these 6ft bugs?

What do they eat? How do they live?

Each other and magic, respectively. They do have their own atmosphere, though I never mentioned it.

You realize that not all of them will fit inside the caves and caverns right?

Basically if this happens, I'm gonna eat some of them and reduce their numbers to something managable. A planetary mass MADE of these insects is something like multiple trillions of insects.

I might take some over to Gheronaton as mounts for Firstborn and an additional horror for his planet-that-isn't-Ferraria (I forget the name) then.

Are these insects intelligent or just mindless person-sized insects which eat... other insects?

They're dumb automatons which revert to instincts when not directly commanded by something telepathic. They're omnivores, and they could probably be trained as a species to understand simple signs from a human etc. I just created them as soulmules. If you wanted, you could spend an Act or something to make (some of?) them sentient, or summat.

Just understand that to Astra'ath, nonsentient beings are little more than biomass waiting to be eaten when needed. It will consider them a renewable food supply for itself and its cult.

Of course the numbers they will need to eat will be tiny compared to the total population, and it will give the dwarves something slightly less dangerous to run into before they hit the horrors in the depths.
