No sleeping penalty in adventure mode?

Is there any danger of not getting any sleep?

Eventually you'll start getting drowsy, which will slow you down further and further. If you keep ignoring it you will be afflicted with one of the forms of insanity in the end. It's been a while and I haven't had all of them, but as I recall, going melancholy slows you down even further and stops checking for empty space when walking, so it becomes very easy to accidentally fall off cliffs or into pools.
I assume this is unchanged in 0.31.

Really? seems kinda wierd to not simply just pass out frm all the tired-ness.

I wonder what happens if you become beserk or raving mad?
