On a more serious note: Toady is apart from programming doing all the "Thank you" stuff for everyone who has donated lately. This means Crayon art, ascii art etc. This things have piled up over the time in his (figurativly) "To do" box.

Right before release is crunch time. Crunch time is completely exhausting. After crunch time, when its been released and is in a "good enough for now" state, taking a little vacation is the thing to do.

I'd say Toady has earned it.

31.03 has bugs, but its quite playable and enjoyable. Even the military works fine. There are some military bugs, but the current military is quite capable of protecting your fortress very well from any threat.

That would suck for those of us that only can see through one eye, and as such can't experience such technology.

Not necessarily.  There were Mac versions before the 40dX series.

EDIT: I forgot to say this before; he's working bugs out with the Windows version because it's what he has.
Targeting the other OS's while he's still doing the above will just create TONS of extraneous bug reports.

dude dwarf fortress is already in 4d. A DF building has four dimensions.
