"Oh, something close to us died."

Veto. When he finds out that we are mourning for the death of our computer, he will probably think we are freaks and stop seeing us.

"Oh, someone close to me died." (Sad face)
My throat is already clear.

Imagine a cool peice of sky-blue and milk-white marble about 3cm by 2cm and by 0.5cm, containing a tiny 2mm malacolite crystal. Now imagine the miles of metamorphic rock it's embedded in that no pick or chisel will ever touch. Then, imagine that those miles will melt back into their mantle long before any telescope even refracts an image of their planet. The watchers will be so excited to have that image too.

I thought we didn't use a democra brain. I thought we just went with the first option to get some support.

I can't tell if there are any options with support yet. :P

Still democracy, but not based on majority vote.

I say we just tell him that it is a reminder to fix the computer.

Yeah, sounds good. Actually, this could be a chance. He might be interested and we could invite him over to help or something.

"Oh, this. Ha, yes. This is just a reminder to fix my computer when I get home."
"A reminder, huh? I was under the impression you were supposed to tie something around your finger for that." He grins at you. "So what happened to it?"
"I had a bit of an accident with it, some fire and stuff. I need to remember to fix it before I need it." You recall that there was actually something time sensitive for it. You needed to respond to that man about selling your robot, if you still intend to. "I'm planning on selling my robot and should probably see if anyone else has responded."
Nate raises an eyebrow. "A robot, eh? That sounds pretty cool."

Ask him if he wants to see it, but ask him about himself too, and what he's doing and his interests and such.

This.

You know, these are the only boards on the internet where I don't feel like a genius. Everyone thinks on a much higher level.
