Exporting and Importing of Adventurers

Ok, I've finally made an adventurer with a substantial amount of skills.  Took me a while to do so.  Now, when a newer version of the game comes out, I have to make a new world just to get the new features added in throughout.  Well, that leaves my kick ass adventurer stuck in an older world.

My suggestion, have a simple export/import feature that allows one to save specific adventurers to a file (binary would be preferable to prevent overt cheating) which can be imported back, not only into the original world, but any other compatible world.  I say compatible because the target world must be capable of supporting all the features saved.  Also, only retired adventurers should be allowed to be exported.

Various things would not be saved: your character's Legends entries, any artifact items they may have, where they were at (considering the target world will not likely HAVE that location), etc.

One could export special characters they like and bring them up-to-date into new worlds.  Not only that, this would allow character sharing.  (Prebuilt character parties!)
