How about the tentacle stuff that I put up?

Durr... I wasn't paying attention.   Cephalopod!  Yeah tentacles fit perfectly.

Are we just larger microscopic organisms, or are we small sea life?
Well because I just allowed smjjames to be a cephalopod. (smallest being an inch long squid)Lets go with really tiny but visible eh?

Might as well go all the way and make things fun as animals now eh?

I'm not evolving into a cephalopod, lol, in fact, it resembles a worm than a cephalopod.

It would probably resemble a primitive polychaete. Yes I have a few traits that cephalopods have, but beyond having a few tentacles and primitive chromatophores, the resemblance stops there.

As for being an inch long or so, that works for me since many cambrian explosion animals were a few centimeters long at most. I think I'll have to draw up a pic showing what my cell looks like now as a multicellular animal. I'd need to know how the mutation rolls work out though.

Edit: Decided to make the tentacles retractable. :)

Ill get all the rolls and stuff tommorow.

Btw, any pictures you draw up get posted into your status page. That includes if you make up something in spore that fits your creature at its current stage.

True, but you can be much more accurate with drawing.

Anyways, I changed it slightly and decided to make the tentacles retractable.

Shape: Stingray like, with long tail and flat, wide upper body.

Color: Darker blue on top, lighter blue on bottom

Flagellae: Still there, still glowing, still detachable, still deadly.

Action:
Provide a distraction if needed, otherwise munch on algae.

Oh dear, like a carp. I think Maxicaxi is going for the zombie carp with laser beams evolution path. I feel sorry for the Dwarves.

Typing this from my phone, I get a nice big summary of the changes and next turn tonight.

Caaaaaaaaaaaaaaaarp.

You know, I never posted an action.

As I think the consensus was go deep... go deep with the group.  If I see anything tasty, eat it.  If it's threatening, ram it.

An alien carp at that :)

You could use one of the earliest known vertebrates, Haikouichthys (sp? not sure) or a similar creature, Mylokummungia (I swear I'm not making the names up), both of which lived in the Cambrian, or maybe something a bit more evolved.

Anyways, yea the consensus seems to be go deeper (have to anyway) and someplace away from the Big Red.

Regarding the cillia, on second thought, I think I'll make that a bit more advanced.

Make the cillia into a long row of paddle-like blades on either side, which undulate for movement. Something like what Anomalcaris has, but much smaller and simpler.

First things first
Mutations for smjjames

Upgrade mouth weapon: 5  success  +1 damage
Develop beginnings for chromataphores: 1
You indeed develop chromataphores, unfortunately the pigment color is in a constant state of change, and you now constantly change color, meaning you won't ever be camouflaged.

Lol, at least I got chromatophores. It may actually be an advantage in certain situations and at night it wouldn't be an issue.

Turn 13
No full roll summary for this turn as the general consensus was to dive deeper away from the big red thing. Nothing encountered in the new area.

You dive deeper into the sea, in search of a greater supply of food and dna than the scraps that seem to be left near the surface. Things have gotten just slightly darker than they were above, but Maxicaxi is lighting up the area around you anyway.

You haven't encountered anything, at least for now. You can still see the big red thing off in the distance, and in the other direction is a school of smaller yellow creatures darting around, you can't see any detail though. You can see that the area you're in is pretty barren though, so time to either move towards some of the creatures you can see, or go exploring into the darkness.

Status There was a lot to account for, let me know if I missed anything.

Its suppoused to be three on either side of the mouth, making 6 total.

Also, maybe we should state the size in inches, feet, whatever, rather than just saying size 2, size 3 and so on now that we are multicellular? I'm okay with the size 2, size 3, etc stuff, just a thought here as its up to you and whatever works best for you.

Anyways, maybe investigate the smaller yellow creatures?

Then eat anything that I find on the way or in the area when we arrive. Also chomp on a bit of algae just to see what happens (been trying to do that for a while).

Or justify the size factor by giving it some meanings...like 3^size/10 millimeters?

My actions will be: Investigate the smaller yellow creatures, eating everything edible in the way I happen to bounce into, and prepare for distraction and salvage if others decide to attack.
