om nom on nearby npc cretures

Same.

Swim amoeba style and then glom onto one of the nearby NPC creatures, and eat as many as possible in one turn.

Edit: Oh yea, as far as the jump to land goes, are we going to develop to a certain point and then jump to multicellularity and then land (like in Spore) or can we develop multicellularity (whether on our own or using symbiosis), develop into more complex creatures and then make for land (like in real life)?

I'll take a big bite out of the animal cells from the non-pointy end- as many as I can catch.

Can one of you herbivores distract them?

You'll develop towards multi-cellular as you get bigger. Going to land (victory condition) you'll just find out how that happens later :)

Just waiting on EDIT: Paranatural

I have absolutely no idea what's going on in this fort any more. Migrants arrive, they die for some reason, the fort is flooded for another reason, then dwarves go mad, more dwarves die and I'm just laughing in my distress.

I mandate a spot on the waiting list to be created for my cell of neon blackness. (Don't ask how that works)

JetSquirrel's cell wills itself into existence, and for a moment, everyone notices the little purple cell floating nearby. However, by willing itself into existence it accidentally broke the laws of nature causing the cell to explode just as quickly as it had appeared.  +1 DNA for everyone

Turn 2

You finished off the rest of the little spiked creatures. You see some larger looking creatures around your size off in the distance, but suspect that might be a bit of a challenge seeing as none of your group has any weapons yet.   Then again , maybe they aren't hostile?

Off in the other direction you don't see much, but at least you don't see anything larger or as large as anyone in your group is.

Down deeper you notice something much bigger lurking, probably best to avoid that for now.

Dang, okay um, extend pseudopods to scavenge whatever is left. At the same time, attempt to form a pseudopod (or more than one) into some kind of swimming organ (preferrably flagellae, or proto flagellae anyways).

Work out that cytoplasmic membrane, gotta be able to extend those pseudopoda as far as possible. So, even if I don't develop any flagellae or whatever, that cell can be more flexible and stuff.

Also, grab a few bits of algae in an attempt to form a symbiosis, nm, don't want to do things too fast here.

Lol on Jetsquirrels cell popping in and out of existence.

Edit: I'm hoping for some bonus to speed/maneuverability here, or something, with the next mutation.
