So is that why Mario found them held captive in 7 out of 8 fortresses?

With all those sharp teeth I would think Bowser wouldn't like plantlike food.

Thank you for rescuing me Mario. Did you rescue those Toads on the way?
What toads? *nom nom nom*

Or try FUBAR! The best chocolate bar ever!
And you can't eat them, either, sadly. Even though it'd make sieges so much more fun; dwarves lining the walls, drooling and carrying sharp knives and forks, ready for the upcoming meals.

Okay, I HAVE TO mod this in!  I'll try working from scratch, designing a new, simple form of 'shroom on the... "foot"?

Dwarven economics are still in the experimental stages. The humans have told them that they need to throw a lot of money around to get things going, but every time the dwarves try all they just end up with a bunch of coins lying all over the place.

Athlete's foot is a type of fungus.

So's Ringworm.

But I don't think w...well, we can eat plump helmet men. Hm.
Plump helmet cows, anyone?

I meant being able to eat Toads (from Mario), if only because of the irony.

"Irony is the adjective applied to the axe used to cut down an elf!"

For the people who are looking for page 2, it's coming, I just need to draw the spore tree but a combination of artist's block and physics homework is getting in the way :D.

Ohhh. On the foot. Plump helmet cows would be 'on the hoof', the more standard way to make that ...analo...onoma...colloq...meta....thingy.

Hmm... Like a giant yellow puffball thing on top of a stalk?
Or maybe a grouping of little puffballs, sort of like coconuts (for giant cave swallows to carry, of course!)
