Hello! I just settled an area without any aquifers. I received no "aquifer" warning when embarking, but I discovered that a small (about 20 tiles wide) area in my third and fourth levels contains aquifer. For me it is wonderful, I have infinite water without the FPS hog of rivers or full draining aquifer. My question: can every aquifer be like this in future developements? It's very useful!!!!

I know I've had partial aquifers when my area has more than one biome.  I love it too: all the plusses, none of the headaches.

Unless you dig stair up through it, of course.
