nah, I don't think so, just put the file in your save folder
you'll be able to open it with the region select in the continue playing thing.

Rawr, I got mugged by life tonight, and now I'm about to go to bed without having had more than a few minutes at my computer all night. I WILL update tomorrow, even if it's just a season or two, but I should be able to plug out the full year tomorrow.

actually from what I can tell, it seems likely most of the surviving original dwarves will either starve or dehydrate to death in 1053. If we survive at all it will probably be because we get a lucky migrant wave just as the tantrum spiral ends.

the food supply was stable when I was playing, all tim needs to do is kill all the new migrants...
or farm in the plentiful undergrounds...
but this is dwarf fortress so the first one is more likely.
