Anyone try having an outdoor barracks defined by armor stand or weapon rack?  I was thinking of this to prevent cave adaptation in my military dwarves.  Also, if a dwarf is weapon training and I delete the weapon rack that defines the training area, will that end the training?  While I'm going to try the alternating squad idea mentioned in some other threads, it would be nice in an emergency to muster more troops.

Instead of doing it entirely outdoor, make a greenhouse connected to your fortress. It's less fun that way, but dwarves are dwarves, and the outside is for two things: drowning it in magma, and dumping refuse.
