I dunno, ever since Yahoo! news allowed comments, it's surpassed /b/ in general hostility.

I went to /tg/ to check it out after I saw this post. First thing that pops up?

Okay, so, today this girl I know-Lauren, just took a sudden dis-interest in talking to me. Is she just on her period or something?

I hear Dwarf Fortress is big with the traditional gamers.  I wonder why.

I prefer 7chan, and 199xchan, although 199x is really new so it has a very low user base and few posts. In fact you should all go there now and post!

4chan is nothing like what it used to be, its just another site of whiny tweens gobbing off and bitching. *Grumble* used to be good, back in my day, back before the Mod crackdown and the Schism. 7chan used to be good, then it got cancer. 78chan just fell off the map. Now I'm on 99chan, one of the last vestiges of what 4chan used to be. There /vg/ board is hosting a succession game right now called "I HATE YOU DWARF FORTRESS".

Walked into 4chan, probably a stupid decision in the first place.

The FIRST thing I see is:
"Sometimes I like to wear a collar at night."

In the days when Sussman was a novice, Minsky once came to him as he sat hacking at the PDP-6.
“What are you doing?”, asked Minsky. “I am training a randomly wired neural net to play Tic-Tac-Toe” Sussman replied. “Why is the net wired randomly?”, asked Minsky. “I do not want it to have any preconceptions of how to play”, Sussman said.
Minsky then shut his eyes. “Why do you close your eyes?”, Sussman asked his teacher.
“So that the room will be empty.”
At that moment, Sussman was enlightened.

Well...4chan as a whole isn't bad. It's really just /b/ and some other boards that are.
If you meant that you were going to visit /b/...
Be prepared for the n word, people calling each other faggots, people calling you a faggot, general stupidity, lots of pornography, and plenty of transvestites.

4chan isn't that bad.

People just take themselves too seriously to enjoy it. That or they were there before and quit so they take 4chan too seriously.

The problem I have with 4chan is how retarded the posters have became.

A kid I know always comes up to me and spouts some meme that was around when he was six years old like it's cool.

Then again, this is probably due to the slow blurring of reality and what happens on the 'net for many of them. Oh, well, who cares? The 'net's terrible due to slow degradation of any sense of freedom.

I check out /b/ very occasionaly. I usualy leave very quickly. I think it's mainly the naked children, or the gifs of people getting mutilated, or people being dicks to everyone.

People tell me that it's nothing compared to what it was.
