How do you make an image of a hidden moon in groundhog bone?!

I made a picture of a polar bear attacking a snowman in a blizzard. I was pretty artistic as a kid. Or just crazy.

In any case, I imagine that the border of the image is in groundhog bone. Perhaps even trees, a nice picture of the night sky... but no moon!... thus, hidden.

or its another way of describing a new moon (as opposed to a full one).  perhaps its done in iconography, such that it is an empty circle instead of a solid circle.

or maybe its just engraved on the back side of the groundhog bone, such that you cant see it.

I myself drew an invisible castle in a snowstorm as a child. I felt so very clever.

The expression 'Hidden Moon' is refering to the fact that the moon itself is covered from sight by something. Its a common thing drwan...
eg. A Full Moon with two willows side by side with their branches sprawed out over nearly all of the moon image...
