Baby Corn
« on: April 21, 2010, 12:24:01 am »

Why the hell do restaurants keep putting these in my food. I know it's just crap filler because it never is listed in the ingredients on the menu, but sure enough when my food come there is a bunch of them there. Has anyone ever gone into a chinese restaurant and said "I would like a plate of baby corn, please"? I don't think so.
According to wikipedia, baby corn does not change in texture, flavor or color when cooked. That's disturbing.

Also, baby corn could have grown up to be a doctor or a lawyer or even the president if you hadn't aborted it.  >:(

While I don't like Chinese Food and have never eaten babycorn, that site led me somehow to this shirt.  I want that shirt so bad.  I may have to buy it.

If this was for oysters, I'd be all over this but a food that doesn't change all that much when you cook it just doesn't do it for me.

Oysters are disgusting, by the way.

EDIT: Also, if you hadn't lost me at 'madness' you would have lost me at Facebook.

Also also I love baby corn and think it's great. However, beets not so much. Has anyone every walked into a restaurant and asked for a plate of beets? No? Maybe it's a clue. I'm just saying.

I'm not sure what the deal is.you get a free source of extra nutrients at Chinese restaurants. If you do not want it,you can ask them not to put it in your food.

Hey, I like baby corn!

But not oysters. Oysters are just terrible. Also, proscribed by Deuteronomy, but I'm pretty sure I'm not an ancient Hebrew.

And... I've never eaten beets.

Nah, I quite enjoy beets. I can't think of a vegetable I'd want to get rid of, the notion strikes me as absurd.

Oysters are still disgusting.

Well, I only really eat cooked oysters. But sometimes, I eat the ones that are still wet and stuff. Deee-licious.

Baby corn = most awesome veggie ever. Well, aside from the vampire squash in the Digger webcomic.

Creamcorn has been muted for three days for making racist jokes in here.  Please don't do that.
