Does anyone else experience firefox freezes when playing the Choice games? (well, maybe only the dragon game, as I haven't tried broadside...)

By the way, I don't know how many people know this, but there's an old RPG called Albion, which has an interesting story, though it's pretty hard.

Yeah, I had similar freezes on the Dragon.

I liked broadside more, though I like naval stories in general. I ended up being very successful. On the other hand, I was able to impress the blonde socialite, but her father told me to get lost, and then I never got a chance to try to win her again when I became a knight/admiral. This was a bit disappointing.

It's a mix. The natives are all hoocus pocus, like the Na'vi.

Finished the dragon one beacuse the gods murdered me for setting myself up as a diety to my human slaves. Then I tried the navy one; skipped a rank and got super promoted, messed up handling my crew and had to fight hand to hand to retake my ship from mutineers, married the redhead, became an admiral and got knighted, and kept the gaul friend alive!

Think i prefer the dragon one, though that may be due to getting to play as a complete bastard

Dragon did freeze on me a couple times.

I liked Broadside more.  Dragon doesn't let me be a goody-goody.

Yeah, Dragon froze on me a few times as well using Firefox, although when I went back to the site it seemed to remember where I was in the story.

So what I'm thinking needs to be made in that: a village building adventure, from the ground up. Recruiting the right tradesmen, a suitable site, etc modifies the stats, and you'd work through each town building and defense and all that. Something almost like King of Dragon Pass

Something about how all the humans on Earth except the Celts began using "false" names starting with Odysseus. And then the Celts migrated to Albion and found out that the Iskai natives worshipped the same Goddess. Or something like that. I've only gotten as far as the desert, which is probably fairly close to the end anyway.

Everything I did seemed to make it worse. Tried being lenient and they lost all respect for me. Tried punishing them, but it appeared to them to be completely random. Promoted the guy that got flogged on the first ship, thinking he'd help sort it out... THAT NIGHT he led the mutiny against me. Good thing I was a badass with a flintlock and cutlass.
