Wrong. 13451 use the board default/core theme. 760 use the darkling theme.

I just prefer to see the deep darkling theme in dwarf fortress threads, and the happy core theme on other threads.

Really? Interesting to know.

Wait, I just realized. This board does not have 13451 active members. That info isn't accurate. The  board doesn't even have 760 active members. Yes it does, apparently. Going by that info, no one could use the darkling theme ever at all as easily as no one could ever use anything else, ever at all.

I don't think the many ILs who registered, made a single thread asking about how farming works or some stuff like that, then never made another post really count as forum users, since they don't really use the forums.

Yeah, so there's no real way to learn if the Darkling theme is the majority.

Regarding how many people are using each theme, the forum default is the Darkling theme in DF related boards and the Core theme in all other boards. So, it's Core+Darkling, technically. The 762 users who are listed as using Darkling have chosen to use it for all boards.

True. What I'm saying is there's no way to find out accurately who's in the majority if you don't count users not active.

Of course, Darkling is used by the majority, since it's in both of the main choices.  :P

That's so gratifying.

As an aside, would it be possible to revert the "posted here" icon beside thread names?

Now imagine the miles of metamorphic rock it's embedded in that no pick or chisel will ever touch. Then, imagine that those miles will melt back into their mantle long before any telescope even refracts an image of their planet. The watchers will be so excited to have that image too.

No, it seems they're beard braids and ears/neck. But they look disturbingly like arms/legs, yes.

I perceived those as musk oxen with gigantic dwarfish faces.

Would make a great addition to the underground though.

The problem with both those, and the other dorf smileys, is that they're either too large, not distinguishable at a glance, or both. You should be able to tell whether someone is glaring or smiling through a drunken haze. >:O

If it matters, I cast my vote for the bearded classics for the moment. Those "SMF Standard" ones with little grey beards added. They're certainly distinguishable, and pretty distinct.
