Line height is messed up in the Quick-Reply text:

I think the top block text has the same problem.

It may have already been mentioned, but in case it hasn't: Some part of the forum software is pretty poorly optimized, specifically the part that handles quote windows.  "Thanks" to this forum's extended experience with making giant nested quotes, I know those can play Hell with browsers, but since the move, my browser grinds to a near-halt for a couple seconds whenever I try to quickly scroll over even single quotes, let alone several nested ones.  By the way people have been judiciously trimming them lately, I'm probably not the only one with this issue.

Your signature makes that very ironic.

Firefox seems to handle the quotes just fine, in any case...

Chrome seems to lag a little over quotes when scrolling fast, but then it doesn't handle scrolling very well to begin with...

I'd like to go on record as trying to trim for the sake of readability... I never realized that nesting was an issue.  I use Firefox in Debian so maybe I'm not experiencing the same lag.

However, if the lag causes people to trim for readability, maybe it's a feature!  :P

Yeah, I know nothing of this lag from big quotes.  (firefox)

Firefox on Vista seems to not have that problem.  At least for me anyway.   :P

There once was a thread, in VN, no less, where they pushed it to the limit.

Two pages at 50 posts per page, every post quoted the entire previous, plus adding it's own text.

So, imagine quotes nested 80-deep, I think also with a few side branches added.

I'm liking the "bearded classics", myself. They look neat and distinctive enough from other smiley sets.

I'd still like to see what Mayday can come up with, though.
