Family anvils.

One Clan to rule them all, and in the mountains bind them

Speaking of Anvils, and Families, hasn't it been noted before that currently 'all' anvils are by necessity descended for another anvil?

Granted this is only due to the lack of mold casting, but it was suggested that perhaps in Dwarf Fortress there truly is an 'Anvil Primordial,' used by The Masterworker in the Forge of Creation and all 'truly dwarven' anvils can have a lineage traced back to this Most Sacred of Smelters from which perhaps even the dwarves themselves were smelted of truest steel quenched in oceans of Armok's lifeblood.

This is an awesome tangent to this discussion.

Messing with hardcoded stuff is playing with fire. And we all know how dwarves react to fire.
