while not trying to defend the actions of Hitler or anything, the average person is no saint. Just because you don't hate a villainous person doesn't mean you don't think what they did was wrong.

It's the difference between spitting in someone's face on sight and being able to calmly ask them why they would do such a terrible thing. There's not many people out there with the self control needed to do the latter. I think it's commendable.
