Trouble with tilesets
« on: April 18, 2010, 07:42:03 pm »

Hey all, so I decided to enhance my dwarf fortress experience and use a tileset. Haowan's looked pretty rad, so I downloaded that and got it up and running. However, running the 18x18 tileset at  1440x450 (it's optimal resolution) left the text on the right side of the screen cut off. So what did I do wrong? Is there any way I can fix it if I mess with the grid sizing, etc? I've tried that a bit but i've got nothing so far.

You need to make sure [GRID:XX:YY] is 1/18 of your resolution.
For 1440x450 that's [GRID:80:25] .

You also need to make sure you set the resolution x and y less than your computer's resolution x and y.

So for instance, I have a 800x600 screen.  I never have a tileset that is set correctly for my computer, so I just set the resolution to 800x600, divide those resolutions by whatever size the tiles are, and squint at the tiny dwarfs, lol.
