It's impossible to be a coincidence when...

Your uncle dies while you're listening to Feel Good Inc.

Post when something has either gone horribly right or wrong, and the current situation matched up just too well to it.

I opened a door with my mind once.

I was just sitting there concentrating and the door handled turned and the door opened. Nobody in the corridor.

Shenanigans? Probably. But I like to think I'm just the one of the shittiest of the Telekineticly inclined ever.

Sometimes I tend to leave my computer without locking it first, and then I return to notice that it's locked. I make sure it doesn't do that by itself most the time (even going as far as having it offline; mostly for virus scanning). I asked everyone in my household if they're using or snooping around my machine without my permission (which I hoped I don't need to worry about considering they each have their own laptops). So far, nothing but denial. It still locks "by itself" even when offline, meaning it has to be something or someone tangible that's responsible. I'll get you who/whatever you are.

Just in case, I got myself a pretty cheap webcam and hooked it up to be a makeshift security/time-lapse video camera so I can see exactly what goes on (and keep as few people informed as possible; even hiding it in plain sight (thank goodness I'm a litterbug). One other time this same thing happened, it turned out my security camera program was a 1-hour recording trial version, and I didn't catch the perp. Next time gadget, next time.

For further study, I might as well record my screen. I hope my computer isn't getting hijacked. That's a total dick move.

As I was reading this thread a mug on my cabinet fell off and hit the tip of my mouse, thus causing me to hit the 'reply button'.

This is not a really good excuse for replying.

EDIT: Rather, the 'Quote' button, but I still say impossible coincidence!

Don't panic.

Take your anti-psychotics.

Do mistake your LSD for anti-psychotics as you did five minutes go.

Whatever you do, don not talk to Drew Carey.

Actually, Windows does indeed do this on its own.

When I was in high school, I had a tendency to kill celebrities by mentioning them. Some actress or singer of years past would come up in conversation, I would say something along the lines of "Aren't they dead?" and lo and behold, when I got home that evening, they had died.

I think that happened about three times in the span of a couple of months before I decided to never do that again. (At least until 2003 or so. Then I was tempted to just walk around around saying, "The President? Isn't he dead?" but realized that would probably net me a visit from the Secret Service.)
