I'm so happy a friend pointed me to this thread.  It has a certain...je ne sequoia.

Sad to see people slipping off-topic, though; better to go with the phloem.

Je ne sequoia is a first-rate pun, you could charge money for that.  But just because you threw down the master pun doesn't mean you have to get all sappy about the thin veneer of pundom that makes up the majority of the posts here.  We'd all like to pretend that you could just say, "Make some floral puns, my fine-feathered friends!" and all the resulting witticisms were leafy green and witty, but it's simply not what you should expect.  After all, it was Kant, I believe, that said, "Out of the crooked timber of humanity, no straight thing was ever made."

I myself like puns, just as long as they are not horribly terrible.
Well, you don't have to be a prick about it. The fruits of our labor are bountiful at least.

I meant no harm about it.

Has this thread finally wilted?

There willow always still be some thing in the underbrush.

I think every last sapling of this thread has dried out. I'm sorta out of ideas. Nothing else is blooming to mind.

I can only add a single sprout to this conifersation.
There are only two things you can age by counting the rings.
Trees and elven babies.

Have fun catching them. As I recall, they branch out all over the place as they travel.

Can't you also damn rivers by causing a wall to drop into the water via cave-in?
I figured you could always damn a river by channeling out it out all the way into Hell.
