I had a hunch this thread would land on the topic of the twig and berries eventually.

Yeah, we'd best try to stay on topic about the puns, otherwise OP would be ever green.

Yew woodn't beleaf a thread about plant puns would be so poplar.

Unfirtunately, it a-pears that olive the good ones are taken, and we are reduced to repeating them, sowing the seeds of discontent.

I pine for someone to spruce this thread up with new puns. And maybe someone will, in thyme.

Can't you also damn rivers by causing a wall to drop into the water via cave-in?
I figured you could always damn a river by channeling out it out all the way into Hell.

I dunno. I think the thread's gone bananas enough as it is.

We need some minds to cobble together to come up with better ones. Let us toss this salad of creativity a bit.

Well, if people want to keep beating this dead horse, then for goodness' sake stop using fir, yew, and willow in inane ways before readers' eyes start bleeding.

I don't oak, do yew fig it's a wood idea to spring this back to life after sew long?  Agave that it had a wood run, but the puns might have been cypressed out of everyone.  It might end up with a lot of custarding and nuts trying to spruce up the place with their poet-trees.
You may Rue the day you brought this back.
At the Moschatel this may be fairly wood.
Persimmon it may produce many laurels though.  ;D
