A picture is worth a thousand words. So above you see.
Each one of those apparently loose objects (totem, colored plump helmets, anvil, pelts, flasks, brown berries, sweet pods of many colours, mechanisms) are custom workshops. Same applies to the trees and shrub rows outside of this prototype fort. I'm thinking on adding even more of such items. As a matter of fact, pay attention, the dorfs now have their little fireplaces in their bedrooms!
None of these workshops are truly functional (they have no reactions assigned to them), and they provide a significative clutter on the workshop menu (thankfully they are at the end of the list), but still this is an interesting concept I'm messing with. An idea would be to add a grass workshop (1x1, 2x2, 3x3) so one could
plant grass underground. This would give a whole new meaning to "statue
garden"
The current main issues are:
Lack of color selection, you have one building for purple mushrooms, one building for yellow mushrooms, so on, leading to clutter of the menu.
Potential side effects of thousands of unassigned and inactive workshops to a fort's performance.
Some weirdness that might be due to my .raw incompetence (repeated green flask entry, etc)
Unrealistic resource usage: They all require just one non-economic stone, so yeah.. nonfunctional stone anvil... at least it is not made of plump helmets.
World regen required since those buildings need to be associated with the dwarf entity, so you need to regen the world...
