Your favourite tileset
« on: April 18, 2010, 09:37:30 am »

Which tileset is your favorite? I just use the basic one, which is why I am asking. I prefer to run DF in windowed mode.

There was. Also I prefer RantingRodent's tileset (with values for gems/ores depicted) and Sphr's dwarves (although Beefmo's are cool too).

I used to play with DFG a lot, but now I moved on to a more "graphical" stuff :).

Eh, it's not really your own, dwarves are all (but doctors) by Sphr and tiles are at least partially from RR.
You did a great work combining them and changing as you feel, but you have to credit original creators too ;).

I use Phoebus' tileset and am very happy with it.
Just can't wait for the d# merge and all the advantages it brings to tilesets...

I think Mayday's is the best, I also turn on the show water as numbers thing in the init, sense it's practical.

Used to use Mayday, but since the new release moved to Phoebus' tileset.

Hermano was my fav in 40d#. I may or may not move from Phoebus to Hermano in 2010. I'll hold judgment until the merge.

I use my own cooking made from font I found somewhere, some plant icons from another tileset (dont remember who made those) and some of my own doodling.

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

Made it becasue I couldnt find a decent looking 20x20 tileset, and because I like fancy fonts.

I use Dystopian Rhetoric (still).

Yeah, it hasn't been updated in years, the new professions don't have tiles so they show up as solid color dwarfs, (over?) half the animals show up as letters still and the error log gets spammed with errors about positions that no longer exist every time I start the game. oh well, it's still my favorite.

I keep hoping one day DR will come along and fix it up. Maybe this year!

Edit: for the non-graphic tiles I'm using Guybrush's ASCII-only tileset.

I dont use tilesets, I learned how to play in the game's default ASCII and I'm going to leave it that way.

Could it be the OP indeed meant tilesets and not graphic sets?
