Horse archers are fun but with the AI its a bit of an exploit to use them, so if you do end up playing as them, house rule yourself to not fill your armies entirely of horse archers. (Your future Greek slaves need battle too!) 

Not to mention fighting a horse archer battle is a horrible micromanagement fest.
