Oh Elvish Kebab,
Hugging wood even in death,
Maybe Elves are gay?

The elves have come back,
Seeking a lost caravan...
Closing gate quickly.

What a perfect day.
I think I will step outside...
Run!  Zombie Marmots!

Dreaming dwarven babe,
cooing in her crib.  Empty
ale barrels abound.

Any good dwarf doc
knows his patients are in pain.
Be back in the fall!

The dwarf digs for life
But the dark has blinded him
He digs his own tomb

Grand vaulted caverns
Dwarven hearts are filled with pride
But they still echo

Gold bought a new realm
Steel forged eternal peace
Only dust remains

Baubles and trinkets
What is the measure of worth?
Blood, bone and sinew

Apparently having a redundant creature entry causes the game to say, "Oh, look, it's crazy world now. Nothing makes sense! Alligators live in houses!"

As a speaker of Japanese I've noticed that one defining quality of Japanese Haiku is how limited they are in content. 5 syllables can be used as roughly 3 syllables in Japanese if you look at comparisons between average English and Japanese word length. I think English Haiku should be 3-5-3 instead of 5-7-5. That being said,

Anvil clang
Beard singed by magma
