Dwarfs, toiling away at home.
Eating kittens, melting elves.
That is true dwarven spirit.

Urist McSword, bleeding out
The walls all covered in blood
New fort, strike the earth!

Can't you also damn rivers by causing a wall to drop into the water via cave-in?
I figured you could always damn a river by channeling out it out all the way into Hell.

I'll give it a whirl, a brief haiku inspired by my last fort.

Five in the first line
Seven in the second line
Then five makes haiku

I should probably have my head checked, because I find myself in complete agreement with Nikov.

Embark. Strike the earth.
Seven dwarves against the world,
and no ways to win.

Curse them, an ambush.
Thankfully, I have cage traps.
It is drowning time.

Urist cancels Drink
Interrupted by Goblin
The, the fun begins.

Urist cancels Rest
Interrupted once again
Everyone loves him

Throwing a tantrum
Carpenter cancels chopping
Things are going down

Carpenter hits man
This man is the hammerer
He hits back too hard

Chaos erupts now
Everyone hates everything
Save for their socks.

Toady typically doesn't do things by half measures.  As evidenced by turning "make hauling work better" into "implement mine carts with physics".
There are many issues with this statement.
