Okay, so this may be is a question for the modding crowd, but it's really relevant here. How do I put a file, say, Retro's History of X and Y, into DF? The tileset/mod I'm using has no music, and that makes me sad.

Using free software like Audacity, combine all of the music you want into one track, save as .ogg, copy into data/sound, rename as "song_game.ogg". Or just run your media player at the same time as DF...

This is pretty awesome.  I lost my own tabs years ago, and I'd forgotten how to play many parts of the song, so it was fun to go through and play it again.

I came up with a few notes playing through it.

Actually, the harmonic is done in the GuitarPro file. Tuxguitar isn't the best program for exporting tabs to text, so most of the markings are missing. That's why I mentioned wanting a volunteer to polish the text version of the tab in the first post.

The TXT is sorta broken now. If you try downloading song_game.txt and you get song_game.gp5, just rename it to a txt. I can't change file types from within Mediafire.

BTW, i've been triying to play the tab conversion for piano and it hasnt worked well for me (i really suck at reading, tough). I tried printing it from the MIDI page converter, but that didnt work out either, as the scale(? not a native english speaker) was off, or my piano isnt in tune. Im gonna try to see if i can do something about it, but i havent played in about 4 years or so, so wish me luck.

That's actually what I started off with. It's incomplete and wrong in a couple of parts (most notably bar 2) which is why I decided to make this one.

Thanks. I couldn't find anything that would convert MIDI to piano score, with the treble and bass clefs, if that's what you mean. I'd really like it, so if anyone finds a way to get it please share. I'll give you credit and post the instructions in the main post, too.

You're welcome. It was tough, but I can say that tabbing a song definitely isn't as difficult as composing it.
Though it wasn't played perfectly, excellent video! I've been waiting for someone to make one.
You should tune next time you make a video, though.
