What about items?

Iron floor, magma beneath, gold bars on top. Melt?

Same with water?

New question! If I were to remove elves [INTELLIGENT] tag in the raws, would it work?

That is exactly why I'm asking, in fact!

I was thinking of having concentric moats of precious metals: gold, platinum, etc.

But it seems strange to my real-physics brain that you'd need to pour water on gold to make it melt.

I suspect it won't melt. What you need to do is mod a creatures fat so that its melting point is far higher then gold's, then cover the gold in it, then pump magma under it.

Ustxu Iceraped the Frigid Crystal of Slaughter was a glacier titan. It was the only one of its kind. A gigantic feathered carp composed of crystal glass. It has five mouths full of treacherous teeth, enormous clear wings, and ferocious blue eyes. Beware its icy breath! Ustxu was associated with oceans, glaciers, boats, and murder.

Hmm.  That's two hypotheses for possible ways to get this work.  Anyone doing any testing?

So... if you dump water atop a booze stockpile which is on a floor directly over magma, it should explode, right?

SCIENCE!
