I have generated a small region that has 500 rivers after erosion, so at least that part isn't exactly buggy. it won't allow more rivers in a small region but i guess there's just not enough room for that.

Yeah, last map I was on had two rivers, one going into the other via waterfall. And then the dwarves came, and then the goblins, and there were more rivers and much flooding to behold.

I have a 10-z waterfall  (stream into major river).  The map has aquifers, but that isn't an issue as the major river has cut deep enough to bypass them.

Now...  be careful.  I have a decent number of titans in this world.  Might want to change that for yourself.

I just genned a world with multiple large rivers. This means a high probability of many waterfalls, and a decent chance of a truly large one, although I haven't explored too thoroughly.

pic, scaled down so it would upload, most rivers still visible. it's broken, nevermind  >:(

I've found at least 100+ sites with waterfalls, mostly 3-4 high, a few dozen with 5's and I've found many that had 6-*(10-11?) story cliffs, two with a waterfall on either side of the major river, noting that these are all junctions of two or more rivers and that the falls are from the smaller cascading down into the canyon of the larger, but that's still pretty Fun.

Also, with the caves' entrances being on elevated plateaus now, you can easily find them on the site finder. :P

I recently came across a huge waterfall... though it was in a freezing biome... so... giant -frozen- waterfall!

Don't suppose you've got a screenshot of the embark screen showing location?

he doesn't have the seeds for the map, so this does not work.

This one's only 7 z-levels tall, but its the sort of magnitude i'm looking for =)

And even better:

13 z-levels of waterfall for a 48-tile wide river, and it breaches the top cavern layer!

Love to, would someone remind me where the seed is recorded for a world?  Because I can't seem to find it (there's nothing but .dat files in the regions folders...).

in legends mode you can export the seed/gen info.  It makes a file in the DF root directory.

Here's one that has white sand and a 17-level waterfall into a river that carved sheer cliffs. It's a beautiful map. Only problem is low plant life, but that can be handled.

Both waterfalls are along the long major river of this world, near the northern lake.

World Parameters:

Locations:

The SW mu is the 7 z-level one, the NE one is the 13 z-level one.

Generated in 0.31.02 btw. I should probably update my version at some point...

Hey Guys, I just found a large 17 z-level major river waterfall, with chalk and sand (and aquifers... apparently. Somehow, I don't believe the warning though... Unfortunately, I didn't end up on the peninsula...

also, the waterfall is the major river, not the tributary.

edit: oh wow... I just noticed that the map was only 30 z-levels deep (for a total of ~60)
