Can you make fertile ''eggs'' that hatch into robots when placed in a certain place?
sadly, no...I can set them to hatch very quickly, but we're still limited by the "no direct creation of creatures" bumjiggery that would let us make a workshop that makes robots, so all we have is a change from giant mechanical cows that poop out robobrains to giant mechanical chickens...I need to find a way to guarantee fertility though...don't want to through the sad scene from "Batteries Not Included" 2 out of 3 times...and if pandas have a single material diet...I wonder if I can make the mobile factories collect a special metal plant ("rust blossom" or something)...then you would have to have that resource to "breed" robots...and it would give you another reason to breed deathclaws or mirelurks instead. ...my train of thought has no tracks.
[edit:] bugh...that was less than optimal...ended up with unfertilized robot eggs all over the place...and Deon did such a good job scrubbing up my horrid monstrosities that the robots work perfectly as is in .21. So...I'm going to add bloatflys that make honey...but are still carrion eaters so you have to build the hive in the middle of a refuse pile. Hope to have them up in a few hours...unless work interrupts me. we're pretty good egg-layer wise...iguanas, giant mantises, deathclaws, mirelurks, giant ants...
what could make wax?
