Hey. Like the mod. I was naive and thought those nice pixellated people on the first page would be in it, but that was just stupid me.

Anyway, would it be possible to have an ANSII version of this, instead of a tileset?

ANSII? The only ANSI graphics I know are pictures made of letters.

And I have graphics for many stuff including races, but didn't finish some critters so it's not released yet.

Normal DF graphics I mean. ASCII / ANSII. It's technically both, but whatever.

And so the symbols in the current version aren't going to be the ones in the final then? Cool!

Edit: Oh, also. Will the name generator be fiddled with? To produce names a little less dwarfish?

I think Deon had made a few changes to the words/names generation...it's just a huge amount of text to work through...and with the recent DF update...he's got a bit on his hands...
...hmm actually...I think I remember someone saying something about straight-english and russian language files...then, would just have to add in a few more appropriate post-apoc words and groupings...I'll go take a look

[edit] hah...the "someone" I remembered was Deon...in his Genesis Mod...so...I'm pretty sure he knows about it...

It's almost .17 time, so get ready :).

Meanwhile, I drew most of the missing sprites for animals.

Here're the new floater/vanamingo/centaur sprites:

hum the fallout new vegas really changes your ideas about the wasteland creatures, for instance fire geckos are far large then the other geckos (read deathclaw size) and golden gecko's are poisonous, and quicker then normal geckos but not larger.

IDk must be close man, they seem pretty big.... unless my game fucked up, and golden don't seem all that bigger to be honest.

They are a bit bigger. But fire geckos just 2x bigger than a man, while deathclaws are much larger :).

I am pleased creatures is NV are super hard. Some mods do balance out the game properly though, which is even better.

I hate that a Deathclaw(Second Strongest Creature) can just be shot in the leg and becomes very vulnerable.
I love that the Cazadors(Strongest!) Fly, makes them hard to aim at, did I mention I do not use V.A.T.S.?

Those centaurs have those sweet, little faces, and those all cute arms they shuffle around!

I use slow motion mod instead on hardest settings. It's still plenty of ap to shoot some people, but I  think it's cheaty on medium settings because you have too much time to aim.
