The only blowing up if you hit them would be good for spider mines in my opinion, because they would be getting hit by things all of the time.

well yeah...like I said...NPC's are morons...but in adventure mode...you would look at it and go "oh, spidermine...well...I'll just walk past it then..."

I want the little buggers to run up, latch on to your leg and detonate.  Making you have to shoot it down before it gets to you.

I don't think it's possible for that to happen.

ya it is if it has a syndrome attack like an FB which is what he's doing.  (or give it fangs which inject something that makes the character's blood boil, causing them to blow themselves up, which would most likely kill the mine too.)

I have another question, Are PsudoCentaurs able to be turned into war animals? I have 2 tame ones walking around (Not bought on embark, they were just there and it said they were tame) and I cannot turn them into war animals.

vault dwellers lack the ability to harden pure iron.  Just a minor bug.

Centaurs are listed as pack animals and mounts...a war-training tag would be nice...let's suggest that to Deon!

vault dwellers lack the ability to harden pure iron.  Just a minor bug.

that's probably just a missing permitted reaction token in the entity file, you can add it in yourself, and we'll let Deon know here.

ok...spidermines...a breif test showed way too much freindly fire (they decided to use the breath attack at random times...even when no enemies were around)...so I guess I'll try making them have an incredibly thin heat resistant glass abdomen full of a'splode-y superheated plasma hot enough to melt the rest of their bodies on release.  (yes...that means Dwarf Mc Dwarf was right...again...curse you common sense!  always getting in the way of...whatever it is I'm doing...)

another bug, making rifles and other weapons requires rough gun parts, yet making gun parts produces a small gem.

How about giving spider mines a bite that causes an explosive syndrome and the thing that I suggested? if you were to make the stuff that globes the burny gas really brittle it might explode the spider mine too. (EDIT)I don't even know if it's possible to make the spider mines bite make someone else explode.

(Fakeedit) Could there be a mutant class similar to The Master on Fallout 1? or Harold on Fallout 1 or 2?

not explode...but so far I can make them boil.  I'm still having trouble getting the little buggers to kill themselves though.  I know it's possible...I just need to work more with materials.

The problem with The Master is that he/it is more like a building than a creature...a giant pile of meat melded with circuitry and machinery taking in normal humans and animals and spitting out mutants, but right now...creature producing reactions are impossible...and Deon's mutants are fertile, so don't really need The Master anymore...
Harold...we actually suggested Harold-like half-plant mutants when Deon was thinking about adding an elf-like race, as in a world a thousand or so years after the war, most green plants are probably Bob's descendants, and the Treeminder race would probably take offense to you chopping down their cousins, however...they would also be prolific traders, buying and selling almost anything they could get their hands on.  Basically...they would be effectively immortal like elves, but their skin would be covered in patches of bark or have twigs poking out...and maybe have a caste that could be "milked" for a rare hallucinogenic sap that they use as a drink.  Could possibly have an underground tribal version of them too...except they are slower and part mushroom (though...underground civs don't trade do they?)

I have an idea, how about the bob mutants could be cave dwellers and the treeminders could be the surface dwellers?  Or even better, the bob mutants could be a caste of treeminders. (EDIT) If you don't know what a treeminder is, it's a person who worships Harold (A dude infected with the F.E.V virus that mutated him into a giant tree like thing)

Immobile mutant, not that hard to make really.

yeah, but we would would want it to do something...The Master is supposed to be super-intelligent, psychic (well...he can make your head 'asplode if you walk down the meat-hallway without a tinfoil hat...) and connected to everything either by meat or wire.  ... ... ...actually...it *is* the mutant base...now if we could edit sprawl, having every major mutant settlement have a "Master", with guaranteed leader position and give them the ability to make walls/floors out of meat, that would be awesome.  But all it could be right now is a mutant that is born very rarely, lies where it is born, and might never get any leadership position even with forced max all mental stats.

Wow, I leave the city for 3 days and I get so many ideas :P.

The master worked earlier as a demon, because demons were in the raws. Right now I don't want "maceman masters" attacking your forts. You can assume forgotten beasts which govern small cities to be "masters" of some sort, at least they are real mutants, what about all those pink flying elephants and shrimps of doom ;D.

Let me rest a bit, I'm just back from the train, and  I will post a proper comment and maybe an update already.

You can make them "rough" again btw, there's a reaction for that (I think it's called "disassemble *", I don't remember) but I agree that it's wrong and I will fix it.
