Raiders probably need to be tougher if they are dying that fast.

Or more numerous and evasive. Of course vanilla DF had the same problems with some races recently.

Shouldn't "vanamingo" be "wanamingo?" That's what the tentacled things in fallout 2 were called, anyway.

Thanks, it was a typo, Lord Shonus :).

DmD: if only you knew how many home work do I have now :P. I make a table, plaster and bleach ceilings in 3 rooms and wash windows during the last 5 days. Hehe. So please be patient. I want to make it too, but I barely have time to sit at PC. Home repairs are like that.

I've just got upgraded robots by JediaKyrol. Also the work on graphical version is going on. So yay, despite of my really busy time I manage to push it forward :D.

yeah, that's why I had to beef them up a bit...3x average human and body composition from iron to stainless steel.  combat logs showed that an untrained unarmed average-strength human could repeatedly punch limbs off of them.  Now only Mutant Brutes can one-shot them, what with their monstrous strength, but that's ok.

How about making Mr.Gutsy's?they were made for combat and pretty good at it.

That would be cool, if custom workshops could create living non-vermin creatures. I guess they could double for war pets as well.

heh...that's what I did...

made:
Mr. Handy (Fallout 3 model 3 arms with eyes, 3 with tools)
Mr. Gutsy (same as Mr Handy but tougher, and with a "plasma-glob" breath attack and plasma-gun instead of a blowtorch, likes fighting, and extremely agressive)
Mr. Sturdy (Fallout 1&2 model Mr. Handy, huge body, twin fans instead of rocket, and 6 manipulator arms, can pull wagons and carry trade goods)
Robo-Brain (super weak-spot:glass dome for head hit brain and it dies, tank tracks for feet, faster than the "Mr."s, can also pull wagons and carry trade goods)
Eyebot (Fallout 2 design, small, fast, weak, verminhunter)
Protectron (Robby-the-Robot body, slow, stupid, pretty much worthless against anything tougher than a molerat)
and for now...until Toady hopefully makes a mistake that lets us make living creatures in workshops again...
The Mobile Factory (huge, slow, expensive, "births" all other robots as "frames" that get armor and weapons installed after a few game months)

I'm not sure what all of these Deon will use, or if he'll change them...(I said do as he feels makes them work best)...but that's how they stand now.

Hey now, protectrons were actually decent in protection, what with the addition of lasers they could take on one to two humans. Depending anyways on how well maintained they were.

And robo-brains were actually the smartest of the robots, being made with actual human brains afterall (Check Sky-net Fallout2 for a good example)

yeah...I wanted to make rb's tool-users...but they kept putting boots over their tank tracks,  so I just made them faster and natural grapplers...Skynet was a one-of-a-kind though, as it was originally a computer made from alien tech (according to the holotapes) that you then downloaded into a cybernetic brain (if you used any other brain even the regular human brain, he became dumb and couldn't level up)  Also a note on robobrains explained that if they didn't get their programming wiped on a regular basis, they tended to flip out and go insane, so that's what we've got...insane-in-the-membrane-robo-brains...

Protectrons...I'm probably just prejudiced...I've always hated Robby-style bots...could make them better by adding the plasma breath weapon...but that's up to Deon...I've always seen them as a cheap, mass-produced, tin robot not meant for anything more dangerous than shooing kids away from the front of a store...but like I said...I hate Robby's...

Nix drew me a deathclaw sprite. Yippee.

Let's hope he makes more, I like his style more than mine :).
