is there anyway to limit the amount of ammo made from a single reaction in the smelter, because if so then you could combat the over effectiveness of things like cannons and giant sawblades with only letting a dwarf carry 1-5 at  time.

I don't think so but I do think there is a tag to make things break on impact so that they wouldn't be overpowered.

You specify the exact amount of product (ammo in this case) when you make a reaction.

Sadly you no longer can make ammo to break on impact (it was possible in pre-DF2010).

You could make Flamethrowers as well, using the tags used by breath attacks such as fire.

You can't use breath attacks on weapons or in Adventure mode.

so yeah 10 rocks = 10 blocks
and 5 bars of ash + 2 rocks = 10 brick-piles
the bricks now let you build building_destroyer:1-proof buildings in deserts and woodlands where stone is scarce...(it's probably already been done...but it came to me as a good idea that I haven't seen yet.

(edit)  for the workshop...how does 1 junk, 2 belts, 4 gears, 4 fasteners sound?  maybe some other stuff to represent a cutting tool for the blocks...also...how does a mass wood-block shop that also makes 10 particle board blocks out of 5 wood and 5 animal hoof/cartilage sound?

(double edit)...looks like there is not currently a way to check if a bag actually contains sand...so for now is 5 ash + 2 any rock...now that I look at the token lists...I might be able to add a REACTION_CLASS:BRICKMAT token to the types of stone that can be used in cooked bricks instead of pressed...and we'll just pretend water is magically added like in brewing.

this one though...I made at work...so it only works in theory...and I still haven't decided on required building materials. (definitely at least a giant spinning blade though.) I'll double check it when I get home, unless someone want's to take the challenge.

That reminds me...Deon, when do you want those new robots?

well son of a poop, it isn't...  I just ran through and even though it doesn't cause errors...it is just plain ignored and the bag itself is what is used while the sand is getting dumped on the ground.  That's what I get for wild guessing from CONTAINS_LYE that sand would be something similar.  guess I should have looked at the raw dumps more closely.

hmm...I guess ash would work...that is an ingredient in some brick formulas mixed with things like lime and clay...

well...at least the sawmill seems to not break the universe

that's what I get for coding without testing.

ok...brickworks fixed...well...at least un-broke-d...but yeah...this was done with a lack of DF while I was supposed to be working...if anyone knows of a way to make this and the particleboard one better, please, be my guest...I'm gonna go back digging through again.  maybe I'll try making an automated mug & toy factory...(now !that! would break the economy)

Time to crack open the half dead CPU and play DF. Gona do a hermit style one (shit CPU and stuff), using this mod. Might make it a community, not sure. What you think? Community or not to community.
