Hey Deon,there is something wrong with assault rifles,you don't need a bayonet to make them and they do stabbing damage in melee.(edit)It is also the same with Combat Pistols.

I love fallout, especailly fallout 1, 2, and tactics, 3 I dont care for, keep up the falouty improvements and make this the new ultimate fallout simulator on DF!

I have an idea (I would mod it in but I don't know anything about modding) a new uncommon part,the motorcycle handbreak and also a new weapon idea,the lancer.To make it you need a ripper,motorcycle handbreak,assault rifle and a belt (I don't know if it is possible to do put that many things on a reaction if it isn't it should start with an assault rifle and a motorcycle handbreak to make a semi finished lancer and then the rest goes on the semi finished lancer)

Hopefully this hasn't been asked yet, but I recently had to down grade monitors since my old one decided to stop working, and I currently lack funds to buy a new monitor.   

So can Wasteland play in 1024x728 res? or do I need to resize the wasteland tileset  to work with my current resolution?
You should be able to resize DF window with your mouse and zoom in/out with your mouse wheel.

We already have rippers in this mod.They are what Vault Dwellers use as chainsaws but they are not as powerful.Or did you mean in real life?I can't wait for that either :3

Any news on when more focus will be placed on Wastelands mod instead of your overdone Genesis mod? I prefer more realistic settings myself with more believable situations instead of all high fantasy so that's probably why I insist =-p. (Example any news on a full graphics release for wasteland, etc)

This mod has ALOT more potentiality, I can foresee it being a nice post-apocalyptic fallout sim with the way you got things going now.

hey quick question, all the worlds I gen are entirely *calm* which means I don't end up seeing any of the added creatures, any way to fix it?

well...hmm...looks like the savagery modifier is messed up...you should be able to fix it by designing with parameters and editing then bumping it up,  but we'll leave this note for deon to bump up the savagery chance in the next release version.

hey I got a few 'bad' problems, pyromorphite shows up twice on the smelter screen, peat seems to registar as lignite in the smelter, yet can't be smelted.  SO peat=still broken, pryomorphite=double

Is it possible you modified anything?  peat seems to be working for me...the reaction entry in "reaction_smelter_wasteland.txt" should read

and...ah!  the double pyromorphite is because mimetite was accidentally also named pyromorphite...which is kinda funny...as mimetite got it's name for looking like pyromorphite...so, even deon was fooled by the similarity.  Easy fix, just open "inorganic_stone_mineral.txt" and do a search for "[INORGANIC:MIMETITE]", then change "[STATE_NAME_ADJ:ALL_SOLID:pyromorphite]" to "[STATE_NAME_ADJ:ALL_SOLID:mimetite]"  and that'll fix that.

Both of those fixes should be able to work in modding an existing worlds raw folder as well.

I need to grab my ass and haul it to a vault workshop ASAP :). I was a bit busy with this and that but I will try to focus and finish a graphical version before this weekend.

Also I've got a few PMs about some bugs and suggestions so I should make a release this week.

and Genesis is not overdone, I just want to make it better :).

ya I haven't modified anything yet peat doesn't work, I'll check it out and see if I can fix it, thanks for the pyromorphite fix, and another thing
Deon:I've been having problems that when starting a new civ in .98 beets seem to be missing (kinda a needed early food) but other then that everyhting's good so far, I'd love to see some work on this, and if you do make a graphics set could you also still update the ascii set (so I don't remove grapics and have all the walls turn into $&*0 and other random tiles you use in the graphics ((also note that in the next DF version interfaces are going to be a seperate text set, so you won't need to modify the tiles in game to avoid random tiles replacing letters.))

edit*Well two questions, does peat no having the tag [IS_STONE] affecting anything, and why does bloater bile have the tag [IS_STONE]
edit 2*Also found the problem with peat, the vault dwellers don't have it under permitted reactions in their entity file.
