It's up. There's a lot of new metals and ores (cobalt and depleted uranium as metals, lots of new lead ores, apatite mineral, peat which you can burn to coke etc.). Check the main page or included XML file for info on the workshops.

All ores have 1/10 chance of appearance in comparison to DF. It's balanced by ability to smelt salvaged parts.

All gems were removed and replaced with parts which you can manipulate in the Inventor's workshop. Most of advanced workshops now require salvaged parts.

Also I've changed some underground critters (ironman to robot; antmen to insectoids, added Lofn's xenomorphs) and added Mr. Handy.

Awesome. Thank you very much. The new stuff looks very interesting too. Depleted uranium ammo in particular.

Yeah, it's quite hard to get since it requires you to build the Nanoreplicator which takes a lot of stuff to build (2 electronic parts, 2 capacitors, 1 green glass, 1 copper wiring, 1 energy cell and 1 robot parts) and requires pitchblende, but it should be deadly against ANY armor, even Plasteel Power Armor.

P.S. I forgot to say that I called it 0.9 because I want to make specific language files and adjust racial speech for each race (it's silly when someone calls a ghoul "treehugger").

The density of depleted uranium is equal to steel. Is this intentional? According to Wikipedia Uranium is nearly as dense as gold.

I tweaked shear/fracture values to make it to pierce plasteel and totally forgot about density :). Thank you. I need to play around with values more. I've done all necessary text and speech tweaks here, so now I just play around with materials until I release 1.0.

Which parts of the body does a power armour protect? Just the torso? Or limbs? Extremities? Head?

It protects everything but hands/feet/helmet.
Due to DF bug though it protects eyes, mouth, nose etc. Just pretend that there're some weird devices covering your eyes :P.

0.95 is out. It has an awesome ASCII tileset by Bisasam, I will upload screenshots soon.

Also Depleted uranium has its parameters fixed, plus I've tweaked races a bit and added ASCII-styled icons for each race and gender(!). Like those smiley faces but with a bit more features, easily distinguishable between races and different enough between genders if you look closely (if you need it).

P.S. Also apparently depleted uranium is not strong enough to pierce plasteel power armor :P. I will work on it.

I see this as there is a Gas Mask in that Suit with Night-vision, perfect Image.

You should totally allow depleted uranium to be made into Super Sledges!

And actually, uranium is "heavier" than any non-radioactive material.  Dunno about depleted uranium.

Oh, and what about my idea to turn lead into radioactive gold?  It is probably impossible to make the gold radioactive, but perhaps the reaction can poison the worker, or generate a poison gas?

Yeah, a mesh underlay to which a helmet may be attached.

I don't think ANYONE would make uranium hammers (but ghouls :P But they don't have a tech).

I can make a separate gold type if there's a reason to. You see, I try to move away from "fancy" uses of resources (thus no more gems) and achieve a more practical use, however it's hard due to modding limitations.

If you can suggest something cool, I am always open for suggestions.

P.S. And I am trying to be careful with "poisoning worker" stuff now. As you know, there're no antidotes yet. And do you think that it's really fun to cripple your legendary workers who probably have some cool backstory in your settlement? I mean from the gameplay value, not from the Fun aspect.

I like the new character set. It makes my constructed walls remind me of the buildings in Vault City and New California Republic. The white ones. More fallout == more fun (and possibly Fun).

Mushroom soup is not listed as food. Is it edible? Also, density of lead is wrong. I think it should be:
Code: [Select]
[SOLID_DENSITY:11340]
[LIQUID_DENSITY:10660]

If I use this density it won't ever penetrate anything. DF doesn't account for real sharpness when dealing with projectiles.

A new DF version is soon and I will make sure to update at time.

That's okay. My game has ground to a halt, sadly. And I had only just begun digging the hole I need.

I need more drills. And I need an immigrant gem cutter. Last time I start without one.

Is it possible to increase the velocity of the projectile?
