I'll be writing a word document of everything I do then send it to you to help you with bugs if that is alright. Also I have the Fallout 3 Artbook with me so I could toss you some, or all, of the creatures, humans, and equipment inside of it too if you want.

No it wouldn't. Round up the reports for the hits and look at what the ammo did. You don't need a percent for how often getting shot in the torso hits the lungs, you just care about if it goes all the way through some of the time or not.

But if you're too worried about a particular type always dieing in the duels before you get any info on their munitions then just spawn something with the immobile land tag. The ranged units can shoot at it for however long you want or until it dies.

What relevant data couldn't you get from a test like that?

Melee vs ranged :). Ranged miss way too much on the arena. I really can't hit a man from two steps although I am a high master rifleman, while in adventure mode I am just proficient and I shoot people across a screen. I don't know why.

Marmonoulie: More suggestions -> better :). It sounds awesome.

Shima: Sure, take a look. I will even try to help you. SHEAR_FRACTURE is the parameter which helped me to make bullets to penetrate armor. I've just made it higher, and Voila.

Also sorry guys, I've spent the whole night playing Fall From Heaven 2 with Solifuge, Eduren and Wimdt, so I need to sleep a bit before I continue to mod :).

It's because rifles replace crossbows and I haven't removed the crossbows yet :). In the mod all lower ranked ranged weapons like crossbows and bows will use a blowgun skill (called "skirmisher").

Shear fracture's in the metal, right?

Also, the reason the bullets are firing from crossbows is because of the class.  I'll give an example (These do appear to work; only place I haven't tested is in Fort mode giving them to militia, mostly because I've not had time nor desire to try to relearn Military in DF until I've got more to test).

I know, that's exactly what I said. I just didn't remove it in the test version :).

Also you should call it a "cartridge", call it a bullet. "A cartridge strikes you in the head" doesn't sound menacing.

Also I've decided to use more generic ammo (pistol ammo/rifle ammo/shells), otherwise it was the pain to organize your squads in fort mode, and with the new "arsenal" feature it would be impossible to manage.

Possibly.  I've only used militia once since DF2010 released, and I've never gotten a DF2010 fort far enough for them to even get an arsenal dwarf.  Something about how forts more or less always have to be in caverns now... it's off putting and boring to me.  Every cave is supposed to be different, but when it comes right down to it, they're all just twisted little mazes that hamper my fort's design, with nothing that really interests me in return.  At least that problem will be fixed once the growing in soil bug is resolved.

Which bug? You can grow there pretty easy, just irrigate. It takes a few minutes to set up that farm.

And I never build in caverns, why do you think it's "always has to be"?

Since I don't play where there's rivers or aquifers, the only way to irrigate is underground water.

Usually down to nothing when I come in anymore.  I can't explain that, but every time I embark in DF2010, either the ponds are bone dry, or frozen over.  I haven't seen a normal one.  I would go with a brook, but the FPS is still pretty bad right now, I don't want more liquids slowing me further.

I'm SO tempted to take the guns from this mod and merge them with the Pokemom mod.

Oh, and the accelerator kills my game.  But it can help some people.

EDIT: Ok, I merged the Wastelands mod with the Pokemon mod.  One good thing is that apparently all civilizations survived into year 1050, and they actually seemed to thrive.  However, the age was still Age of Myth, so I think the Wasteland mod strikes the perfect balance between civilizations and Megabeast.

Deon, could you please upload the music from your original fallout mod, at least until we get the Wasteland music?

Sorry to not reply, been getting forum errors all day today.  They must be working on the code in the background again.

I've got the accelerator, and it helps a fair bit, for a while.  Unfortunately, it doesn't keep it well enough for my tastes.  By the time the first migrants show up, FPS's practically halved.

Yup, I merged 0.01 with Pokemon, and actually tried running fortresses.  Kinda hard without the axe, lol.  Bronze picks are expensive relative to the copper one usually available.  With the Vault Dwellers being the only ones with bullets, won't they be quite dead once they run out of ammo (can we buy any more since Vault Dwellers are cave dwellers?)
