Oh, I thought you meant "behemoth" as in "freaking huge". I never knew there was such a robot in Fallout Tactics because I never really played that one.

A quick check on the Fallout wiki still confirmed that this thing will be a pain in the ass to defeat.

I wasn't able to paint real Russia, the brush is too heavy and there're other issues, but at least it looks similar.



This map is large and literraly has ANY biome you may want.

I think I will make an African map next.

 New mapscripts (USA, Russia), bronze colossus is replaced by Behemoth MKI Walker.

Could it be possible to have the workshops mentioned on the first page?  I am particulary curious what the computer terminal does.  Although if it is just decorative, I will still build it (most computers in the fallout games were decorative anyways).

Sure, I should definitely compile a list of workshops I've added.

Also sorry, I forgot to add Armory Guard. He will be in in the next version :).

Computer terminal allows to:
1) "Study history records (knowledge)" - trains knowledge acquisition skill
2) "Read teaching manuals (teaching)" - trains teacher skill
3) "Document chronicles (prose)" - trains prose skill
4) "Browse E-Market (appraisal)" - trains appraisal skill

They were indeed hunting for vermin. And unhappy. Not that they had much to be happy about.

I checked out vanilla 04. Dwarves at least seem to eat stuff. So fortunately it is not something we need to wait toady to fix.

I get horrible static in title screen when I enable sounds. But I don't have sounds in game either, at least in vanilla.

With version 0.76, I noticed my miner hunting vermin.  I also noticed that stone would not be brought up to the top floor of my fortress.  It appears the dwarfs have extreme myophia, in that they are unable to see items further than, maybe 5 Z levels away?  Dunno if this is the mod or the new version of DF.

Edit: Inital testing shows it appears to be the Wasteland Mod, as Vanilla DF appears to be acting normally in this regard.

You just struck a pathfinding bug, it has nothing to do with the mod.

Usually save/loading and sometimes designating of traffic zones helps to update the tiles which are not counted towards pathfinding.

Check the mantis bugtracker for more info.

Also there's no 0.76 :P.

The message you quoted had material issues which were fixed.

There's no graphics yet for the last version of DF. Once Toady fixes it, I will put graphics back. I have them all.
Also the color means their profession (usually)

That is one cool mapscript.

I seem to be having trouble making steel.  I'd swear I have all the limestone, fuel, pig iron, and metal that I need, but it just doesn't show up at the smelter.  In-game, the reaction reads correctly in the "stone" menu.

Having lots of fun otherwise.

One other thing I noticed: It is impossible to directly tell the forge to make any bronze weapons (including drills), because whenever weapons->bronze is selected, it leads to a blank menu.  However bronze drills can be ordered by using the manager, with the bronze drills showing up as the active task in a normal fashion.

EDIT: Ok, I figured out why my Vault Dwellers can't make Steel...seems the Vault Dwellers have totally forgotten about steel.  Their caravans don't bring it, they can't embark with it, for the Vault Dwellers, Steel does not exist.  Dunno if this is intended or not, as I could see the Vault Dwellers not having steel when the Brotherhood of Steel does.  This could also be the result of Steel not getting renamed yet.  Surprisingly, I think the Wastelanders still have Steel.  Now who's the primitives?

Hehe, I meant to make Plasteel with a specific reaction and haven't got it patched up yet. Thanks for reminding me. I  thought that there would be stronger alloys than the steel in the world with Power Armors, and some fiction wouldn't hurt :).

Thanks, I now have something urgent to work with.

Also the bronze weapons through the manager is an obvious bug, could you report it? Bronze is not eligible for weapon making otherwise, but the manager seems to skip the restriction.
